August offers a celebration of stars in the desert with the Perseid meteor shower, a special event on the peak night of August 13th. We will meet at the night campground of Mamshit National Park for a bonfire and guided stargazing.
August is a month of celebration of the sky and stars across the desert, where darkness is at home, the stars shine brightly, and impart an atmosphere of peace and nature.
From August 9th to 13th, the Perseid meteor shower, the great summer star show, appears annually in the desert night sky. On the peak night, Tuesday, 13th of August, we will meet in the heart of the desert at the camping site of Mamshit National Park for a magical night of campfire and unforgettable guided stargazing.
When: On Thursday, August 13th. Entry to the camping site starts at 15:00. The activity will commence at dusk.
