Special Visit to the Exhibition "Like a Home" | Martin

What remains of the essence of the home when its original purpose, as a residence for immigrants from Germany, has changed?

You are invited to a special tour focusing on the building, the permanent exhibition, the solo exhibition "Like Home" by artist Martin Wysok on display in the project room, and the original Frankfurt kitchen that serves as the inspiration for the creation.

The tour offers a broad view of the entire structure, designed in 1936 by architect Dov Carmi, and examines how Tel Aviv's modernist architecture continues to resonate, change, and reinterpret through art.

We will visit the historical permanent exhibition space, and from there proceed to the project room, its open edge, where Wysok's solo exhibition, "Like Home," is currently displayed. We will observe the installation he created in an attempt to trace the historical kitchen of the Liebling House. The kitchen, considered a milestone in modern architecture and domestic efficiency, became for Wysok a focal point of material and emotional research. Through concrete castings and a large-scale collage composed of dozens of photographs, the exhibition invites a renewed look at signs of time and imperfections, seeing them as an opening for imagination and the memory of what was and is no longer.

The tour will conclude in the original Frankfurt kitchen, located on the second floor of the building - a unique space that is the only part of the building that survived intact from its previous iteration from the 1930s.
